The interstitial alloy created earlier was able to
successfully combine with oxygen mononitride to create the catalyst!.
The original catalyst, barium
monocarbide-monoxide-mononitride, didn’t work.
Replacing the carbon with the appropriate alkali metal achieved a
similar formula but provided better results.
