Trying to achieve a 4584 carbon chain is difficult.  The polymerization and reduction of larger carbons appears to depend on a proper distribution of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.
The wrong distribution won’t get the proper effect.
The following is what we’ve tried so far.
C_230 H_900 O_300 (too light?)
C_340 H_600 O_195 (not enough O)
C_453 H_630 O_229 (too heavy?)
C_423 H_654 O_215 (seems to work)
C_523 H_810 O_130 (too much C and H)
C_334 H_1210 O_247 (seems to work too)
C_223 H_1654 O_315 (not enough C?)
C_323 H_254 O_315 (another that seems to work)
C_153 H_330 O_129 (definitely not enough C)
